The Statewide Annual Meeting for the National Association of Women Business Owners Kentucky Chapter will convene on June 24, 2025, at the Shelbyville Conference Center from 5-8pm.
This meeting is open to all members and guests. We invite you to join us to network, meet our newest board members, and gain insight on the chapter’s vision and direction for this coming year! There will also be a panel discussion, topic TBA.

Annabelle Cook
CEO, Taylor Belle’s Burgers & the 2025 NAWBO NextGen Woman Business Owner of the Year
Annabelle Cook is the CEO and founder of Taylor Belle’s & Burgers, a thriving food enterprise based in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Inspired by her sister’s entrepreneurial journey, Annabelle launched her own restaurant while still in high school, determined to create a unique and welcoming dining experience. Since opening in September 2023, she has grown the business into a multi-faceted operation that includes two food trucks and a presence inside Rupp Arena, all while employing around 40 team members.
A hands-on leader, Annabelle manages daily operations, financial responsibilities, and long-term strategic growth. Her vision and drive have earned Taylor Belle’s recognition as a local favorite, including the title of Best of Anderson County for both burgers and ice cream. Beyond her business success, Annabelle is deeply involved in community development. She hosts fundraisers through her “Dine to Donate” initiative, is an active member of the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club and Anderson County Chamber of Commerce, and mentors young workers with a focus on life skills and work ethic.
Annabelle’s accomplishments—owning her commercial property, expanding through mobile operations, and building a celebrated brand—highlight her innovation, resilience, and impact as a young woman business owner. She continues to champion local partnerships and dreams of expanding her brand across Kentucky and beyond.
Taylor Cook
CEO, Taylor Belle’s Ice Cream & the 2024 NAWBO NextGen Woman Business Owner of the Year
Taylor Cook is the CEO of Taylor Belle’s Ice Cream where Taylor owns and operates an ice cream facility, takes care of all financial transactions, daily operations, event coordination, and networking of her business. Taylor specializes in ice cream manufacturing, recipe development, and mobile ice cream events including customer appreciations, weddings, and much more.
Taylor Belle’s started in 2015 as a vision and a dream at the young age of 15 with the Anderson County FFA as a SAE (Supervised Agriculture Experience) project which led to a full-time business.
Taylor has won several different awards through the FFA program in high school which consisted of 1st place in Agriculture Processing for the State which led to Gold rating at Nationals, Ist Place in Food & Science Technology for the State, and Star in Agribusiness. Taylor has accomplished the construction of her own Taylor Belle’s manufacturing facility to produce ice cream to be sold in retail establishments across the USA. Taylor has recently graduated from BCTC with an Associate’s in Science & graduated from EKU with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Taylor Belle’s has signed partnership contracts with Aramark & Levy to provide ice cream at large venues including UK’s Kroger Field, The 90, Wildcat Pantry, Lexington Convention Center, Lexington Opera House and several other local and state events including several other colleges and public school systems. Taylor Belle’s also provides all the ice cream at Rupp Arena which includes soft serve and hand dipped.
Taylor proudly named the company, Taylor Belle’s, to include her sister Annabelle and is excited that she has joined the team at the age of 16. Annabelle has recently opened our first retail location which is a restaurant, Taylor Belle’s & Burgers. Taylor Belle’s has 4 mobile units and consists of 34 employees.
Brittany Penny
Founder & CEO of 2 Cents Inc, & nominee for NAWBO Woman Business Owner of the Year
Brittany Penny is an innovative entrepreneur, passionate bourbon enthusiast, and the esteemed Founder & CEO of 2 Cents Inc, the visionary company behind the exquisite IX Bourbon Whiskey. Born and raised in the heart of bourbon country, Louisville, KY, Brittany’s deep appreciation for the rich heritage and craftsmanship of bourbon led her to establish a brand that embodies the spirit of her beloved hometown.
Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic and becoming a new mother, Brittany, alongside her husband, James Penny, audaciously launched 2 Cents Inc in September 2020, driven by a resolute determination to share their love for bourbon with the world. With a keen understanding of the power of digital marketing and social media, she leveraged her MBA in digital marketing to carve a unique path for her company within the industry.
In April 2021, the culmination of Brittany’s unwavering dedication and meticulous attention to detail resulted in the highly anticipated debut of The IX Bourbon Whiskey. With her relentless commitment to quality, she has garnered recognition and acclaim for The IX Bourbon Whiskey being awarded a 2021 Gold Medal in the John Barleycorn Awards, positioning her brand as a formidable player among other spirit brands. In March 2025, Brittany released Audacitea, a perfect distilled cocktail in a can that recently won a Gold Medal at the World Drinks Awards.
As a trailblazer in an industry historically dominated by tradition, Brittany shattered barriers and made history as the first African American woman CEO of a bourbon brand in Kentucky. Her groundbreaking achievement not only paves the way for future generations to follow in her footsteps but also highlights the importance of diversity and inclusivity in the world of bourbon whiskey. She is committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation, crafting exceptional spirits, and revolutionizing the bourbon landscape.
Lizzy Wolfe
Owner, Big Bad Wolfe Creative, & nominee for NAWBO NextGen Woman Business Owner of the Year
Lizzy is a small business brand designer and owner of Big Bad Wolfe Creative located in Louisville, Kentucky. She loves working with passionate people and bringing a vision to life. Lizzy graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a masters in Strategic Communication and the University of Louisville with bachelors degrees in Marketing and Graphic Design. She has recently started teaching as an adjunct instructor at the University of Louisville Hite Institute of Art + Design. Outside of work, Lizzy loves spin classes, iced coffee, and spending time with her cat, Levi.
