HOW CAN YOU GIVE ON GIVE DAY, DECEMBER 1ST?
At this moment when Louisville has been part of the national conversation on equity and race, we know that it is more important than ever to invest in building a more equitable future for our children and our community.
That is why, as international day-of-giving, Giving Tuesday (December 1, 2020) approaches, we are teaming with Metro United Way to come together and support Grace James Academy of Excellence – JCPS’s newly established middle school focused on providing an Afrocentric, STEAM-based education to girls of color. This is an opportunity to invest in the future leaders of our community and country – and to make sure that during a precarious time in their academic careers young Black girls are receiving the message that they are seen, heard, and brilliant – just like everyone else.
