SUMMARY:Statewide Annual Meeting
DESCRIPTION:NAWBO Kentucky Annual Meeting \nJoin NAWBO Kentucky for our Annual Meeting as we celebrate the year behind us and look ahead to the future of women’s entrepreneurship across the Commonwealth. The evening will include the formal induction of our incoming Board of Directors\, recognizing the leaders who will help guide our organization’s continued growth and impact in the year ahead. \nWe are honored to welcome Kentucky Secretary of State Michael G. Adams as our keynote speaker. Secretary Adams will share updates on several initiatives impacting Kentucky businesses\, including the Kentucky Businesses Against Trafficking (KBAT) program and how employers can play a critical role in identifying and preventing human trafficking in their communities. He will also discuss the Safe at Home Address Confidentiality Program\, which protects survivors of domestic violence\, stalking\, sexual assault\, and trafficking\, and what Kentucky businesses should know about compliance and participation\, including reciprocity and dual-state enrollment for companies operating across state lines. In addition\, he will provide insight into efforts to strengthen Kentucky’s business environment through streamlined filings\, improved business services\, and initiatives that support entrepreneurs and small business owners across the Commonwealth. Following his remarks\, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a live Q&A session with Secretary Adams. \nThe program will also feature NAWBO member\, Linda Thomas\, a nationally respected corrections executive with more than three decades of leadership across federal\, state\, and private correctional systems. Drawing from her extensive experience in public safety\, institutional leadership\, and human trafficking advocacy\, Linda will speak about women’s safety and the importance of community awareness and accountability in protecting vulnerable populations. \nTogether\, these conversations will highlight how business leaders\, policymakers\, and community advocates can work together to create safer workplaces\, stronger businesses\, and more resilient communities across Kentucky.
