Maria has spent about 30 years applying advanced data analytics to extremely large volumes of data and what’s known today as Data Science and “Big Data”. She has an expertise in building data-driven solutions for companies across a broad spectrum of industries leveraging industry and third-party data to improve their profit, revenue, customer growth, customer value, consumer experience, employee retention, employee acquisition and workforce optimization, always driving to a measurable improvement to meet their needs.

Her technical expertise spans a wide variety of methodologies including dimension reduction, multivariate cluster and segmentation solutions, text mining, transactional data management predictive modeling, analytic solution layering and intelligence extraction. It has become abundantly clear that there is a tremendous opportunity and demand to blend the power of leveraging large volume databases and analytical methodologies with conventional business ‘know how’ and intuition to address the challenges facing organizations today.

Maria has always been a pioneer in the world of leveraging data. You will find her to be an engaging storyteller with the mastery to explain complexities in a manner everyone can relate to. In addition to her depth and breadth of experience with applying her technical expertise to a variety of applications across a multitude of industries, she will also share her learnings from how easy it has been to overlook seemingly minor decisions along the way that can lead to failures. 

Maria Marsala Herlihy has led N2Growth’s Global Predictive Data & Analytics practice since N2Growth acquired an interest in Q5, a Data & Analytics firm Maria founded and served as CEO of for 5 years. Prior to that, she served as Vice President of Strategic Analytics at Humana, Chief Analytics Officer and Senior Vice President of Analytical Strategy at KnowledgeBase Marketing Group (A Wunderman/Young & Rubicam/WPP company), and Vice President of Advanced Analytics and Database Marketing at the Home Shopping Network. Maria earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Applied Math & Statistics from State University of New York Stony Brook College of Engineering, and a Master of Science in Statistics and Operational Research from NYU – Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

Denise is the President of Michaelis Events, LLC. She founded the company, along with her husband of 30 years, in 1999. Together they developed the original business model and reinvented it over the years as business needs changed and other opportunities developed.

Denise’s career began as a Laboratory Technician and was quickly promoted to Laboratory Management. Her personnel skills and ability to implement standard procedures improved performance, personnel reliability, and departmental quality and efficiency. She has managed multiple Laboratory Departments, Information Management Systems, Sales Personnel, and Marketing.

The drive to entrepreneurism and the need to improve a family environment eventually took over and EuroMarket, LLC (a Specialty store with a Café) was born. Catering became popular and grew from small lunch orders to weddings and large special events. In 2014, the company was renamed to Michaelis Events, LLC and rebranded as an events company.

The continued growth of the company is a product of diversity, planning, structure, and innovation.  In 2014, additional lines of business were added to Michaelis Events. These businesses include Shea’s Event Design & Décor, The Dessert Boutique, and Venue Management.

Denise’s business and personnel experience is grounded in strong academics and personal trials. She  holds undergraduate degrees in Biology and Chemistry. She is the current President of the NAWBO Kentucky Chapter.
